Tip # 1

The most important aspect in taking one's basketball game to the championship level is not only hard work but being consistant in training and in skills development and improvement. Every player with the objective of being a better basketball player must have a workable plan that is followed throughout the year even during the season... Continous emphasis should be placed put on ball-handling, shooting, defense, rebounding, jumping, exercise, fitness, proper diet and mental toughness. Champions are not born they are made.  They must pay the cost to be  the boss on  the court.

While most of the time the player that scores the most points is the one that gets most of the attention, however the teams which are the most successful are the ones that are well coached in handling the basketball.Good scorers must be able to shoot the ball off the dribble. Good rebounders depend on the pass or the dribble to advance the ball. Teams that play an up temple game must pass the ball to one another. So in many respects ball-handling and dribbling just might be the most fundemental skill in all of basketball.

Tip # 2
The most important aspect of being a championship coach at any level is having a plan and being prepared and organized for practices as well as games throughout the season. Practices, especially early in the season are very important for the success of the enire season.  It can reduce stress, confusion and the general attitude of the team as the season goes on. At every practice a good coach will have a plan which will allow the players to learn, improve their skills, and enjoyed the game of basketball..
Tip # 3

What every coach needs is a simple philosopy and organizational plan to be successful. Most coaches often focus and work on the team's weaknesses, however successful coaches focus on the strenghts of their team. The work t he hardest on  the things that they do well.

For example, if you have quick and defensive minded players defense should be your focus. You would start out with differnent  individual defensive drill then go to group drills. We call this the whole-part method. We strart individually then go to the group.
